Ways to Lighten Your Skin Using Natural Foods Found in Your Fridge
Lemon Juice:
Lemon works as a natural bleach and it can fade away dark spots on the skin. Simply mix equal parts of lemon juice and water and dab it on the hyper-pigmented (darker) spots. Leave it on the skin for about 10 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. For best results do this 2-3 times a day.
Mint:
The mint leave made into a paste is another simple method you can use to make your skin lighter. Blend enough mint leaves to make a fresh paste and apply on the face. Leave the mint paste on the skin for about 20 minutes.
(You could take advantage of this time to sit quietly in a warm spot; taking the opportunity to relax and perhaps catch up on some reading or just close your eyes.)
At the end of the 20 minutes, gently wash the paste off the skin with warm water. Not only does this paste lighten the skin but it will give it a lovely texture as well.

Post-Inflammatory Hyper-Pigmentation What Is It?
One of the most common skin ailments affecting people everywhere in the world is acne.
What is acne and what does it have to do with post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation?
Acne results from clogged pores that become inflamed with fast growing bacteria. Even after the acne has healed the post-inflammatory scars can continue to be seen.
When the skin darkens as a result of the healing process this is called Post-inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation. This happens because the skin's response to inflammation is to stimulate melanocytes which discolor and darken the skin.
Generally these darkened areas will lighten over time, but for those who wish to speed up the process to lighten their skin, natural home remedies can be a safe way of slowing melanin production and make acne scars appear much lighter.
